Yes. LawStreet is completely free for anyone searching for a solicitor, and we will never charge for our core service. Firms can optionally claim their profile and subscribe to a paid plan to unlock additional enrichment features, but this never affects search rankings or the information shown to the public.
Our core dataset is synchronised daily with the Solicitors Regulation Authority and other trusted official sources. We continuously expand our data sources to help users make better-informed choices when selecting a solicitor.
You can search by postcode (e.g. SW11 7US), postcode area (e.g. Leeds), practice area (e.g. Criminal Law), or solicitor name. Once you start a search, you can filter and sort results to find the best match.
Firms that have claimed their profile may have added additional information such as a firm introduction, logo, fees, and FAQs to help you learn more about them. The core data you see (firm name, offices, authorisation status) comes directly from the Solicitors Regulation Authority and is the same for every firm, whether or not they have claimed their profile.
Not yet, but we provide contact details where available. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible to find, compare, and connect with trusted solicitors. If direct messaging benefits users, we may add this feature in the future.
All regulated solicitors should be listed, and our data is synchronised daily. If you can't find someone, they may no longer be practising or may have limited publicly available information.

Start at the "For Solicitors" link in the main navigation, or click "Claim this firm" on your firm's profile page. You'll be asked to verify that you're authorised to act for the firm. Once approved, you can manage your profile from the firm dashboard.
Yes. Claiming your firm's profile is completely free and includes a Free plan with the essentials to keep your listing accurate. If you want additional features, you can upgrade to a paid plan from the billing section in your dashboard at any time.
Every claimed firm starts on a Free plan, which lets you manage core enrichment like your firm introduction, logo, and primary contact details. Upgrading to a paid plan unlocks additional features designed to help prospective clients choose your firm, including richer profile content, fee information, and FAQs.

Pro adds profile enrichment features designed to help prospective clients choose your firm, such as expanded content, fee information, and FAQs. Paid plans are priced by firm size, based on how many offices your firm operates. Firms with 1-2 offices, 3-5 offices, and 6 or more offices each pay a different monthly rate. Annual billing is also available and is discounted compared to paying monthly.
Yes, you can cancel at any time from the billing section of your dashboard. Your paid features remain active until the end of your current billing period, after which your account automatically transitions to the Free plan. Your profile stays live throughout.

If you are a practising solicitor, your details are publicly available through regulatory bodies, so we cannot remove your profile. If you believe your profile contains errors, contact us and we will investigate.
